If i ever find out that i was adopted, i wouldn't bother looking for my biological parents. Because if they didn't want me in the first place, no matter what the reason, i don't want to know them.
Not accurate but along these lines la. This was what i understood from her sentence.

ReplyDeletewell, i'd wanna know what possessed him/her/them to give me up in the first place... and were they active in the process of who would take me?? etc.. i'd look for them.. and at least know how their lives turned out without me and show them what they missed.. kindda..

ReplyDeleteSupposing your biological mum was raped at 16yrs old. Family of immigrants, poor & destitute. No money to abort and didn't know pregnant until much later. Thus you came to being in this fallen world. Mum loves you anyhow but unfortunately welfare comes and takes you away. Mum has always harboured hopes to find you and get you back. Perhaps there may even be a restraining court order.
How then on your part?
Point is:- You really don't know why you were adopted.
For fun lets consider Harry Potter who was protected from death by his mums covering love. He could have been bitter and say "I don't want to know my parents because they 'left' me in this stinkin shithole with my terrible uncle/aunt." But he wanted to know the truth rather than go biological parent bashing.
You mums premise is that - I was adopted BECAUSE my biological parents obviously didn't want me.
It's basically saying - I don't know, on top of that I don't care, and to add to that I really don't care to know the truth. They "left" me so means they probably abandoned and didn't want me.
Now thats closing ones mind off to a myriad of possibilities to which not all are negative.
Me? I'd like find out the truth to why I was adopted first. Thats what I think.
i think what she meant was unless there is a medical reason to look for the bio parents, she would like to leave well enough alone. The parents who adopted her would be her only parents. no need to like cari cari tak tentu pasal
