Watched The Legend of Zorro after a long day of shopping with LV at MV. It was hilarious. So funny it took away my blues immediately.

Insomnia

Insomnia? No...i know i don't have that. I'm just depressed and i can't sleep for fear of what dreams sleep brings. And also because i have been in deep-Sleeping-Beauty-worthy-sleep for 18 hours yesterday (and i thought 15hours was my biggest record)

Strangeness

I went out to do my IC and visit my uncle the dentist yesterday with DeOriginalMeow. It occurred to us that we strangely think almost alike for almost alot of things and well, yesterday she let me know that she was in the middle of this blog post about people disrespecting the death of our Prime Minister's wife and the public holiday thing, and then in another browser window, scrolling down my blog, she saw my post, apparently with the exact things in her mind and decided, "Hey, okay screw it man." and stopped writing hers. Hahahaha, she takut that some other piece of shit will kutuk her site like that idiot la.

The untouchables

I went for the Footstool Players performance called "the Runaway Bride"
read more about it here.

It was pretty cool...funny but really brought out its message well. And it was played by only four people. Now AFC has no excuse not to do their dances/dramas..muahaha...cos they always complain that there are not enough people...chis...

This is testimony against that excuse...

One of the plays within the play *it has several plays in one* brought out a message that has been a cause close to my heart for a long long time. Its called THE UNTOUCHABLES about four people *out of many examples* - society's untouchables - who are looking for a place to be accepted, asking whether there is a place in your church for them. The one that i am concerned about is the one with AIDS...

Ee Soon Wei brought the hurt and anger of that AIDs-ridden man very well *not to mention that he is totally super cute* He brought up things like the media and medical people have made it well known that AIDs cannot be communicated to others by a mere hug or handshake or a conversation. In fact, the AIDS-infected person is more susceptible to get something from the one who gives him a hug or a handshake or through conversation or even by being in the same room as he.

So he lives with this deficiency in his immune system and also a deficiency in love.

This is a cause for concern. This is MY cause for concern. That these people, God's children, who Jesus died for...*yes! Jesus died for the world, not just Christians* live out the rest of their lives miserable and yearning for love.

Right now, i am not at a level where i can freely donate my time or money to help/aid this cause, but i'm doing my best to make it known that everybody needs a little love sometime...especially those who are living everyday like the next might be their last.

Some people are just so opportunistic la... I tried to avoid writing about the prime minister's wife passing on but this Malaysian attitude just annoys me. I mean come on la, give some respect to the dead, man! Once she passes on, comes the rumours of public holiday on Monday la, complaints of alaaaaa why is everything closed la, the aiyo why so ma fan i want to party...some more friday night. Its like nothing significant happened. Maybe not in your tiny boring lives that revolve around parties and parties and the next party. Hey, our Prime Minister's wife died okay? She backed so many societies, associations to help make Malaysia a better place to be in.

She is the President of the Association of Wives of Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI), Founder and Chairman of Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) and Patron of various charitable organisations, namely National Child Friendly Healthcare Association of Malaysia; Young Women Writers’ Association; Girl Guides Malaysia; Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (PUSPANITA) and Friends of Cochlea Implant Users Association.

She devotes her time to social, community and charity works, particularly to the welfare and well-being of women and children. The model

This was the model of my leng chai charcoal drawing last semester...Although sad to say, comparing him and my drawing now, my drawing is much much better endowed than he. He's got a nice enough face though. But i think this picture is too dark to see his face clearly. Haha, after one semester i finally get this picture.

Assasins

Actually, to tell you the truth, i really hate confrontations. Whether it is direct confrontation or indirect, i hate it just as well. Since school *especially in Samad*, i never understood why it was so necessary for the guys to do the *come. We'll settle it outside* in-big-men-voices thing. Is violence, force and bad words really necessary to "settle" something.

Fact: Settle means to reach an agreement or decision about, sit, come to rest, or arrange comfortably or securely, or become or make calmer or quieter. I suppose to be fair to the guys, to reach an agreement, perhaps hands and legs are required. I wouldn't know, i'm not a guy. But i've always admired the way of women.

I quote one of my favourite books," The way of a lady is a bit of poison in the meal. So much more refined."

I think women are the best candidates for assasins. Hah, unlike our male counterparts, Women don't hold violent confrontations *not all anyway*. Women are capable of malicious, evil, stab-on-the-back deeds and can pull it off with a smile on their face. That's the worst thing about women. When they actually sit down and try/pretend to want to reach an agreement to a problem, you can never really tell whether she will comply to the terms. Women are great actors, hidden behind kind, sweet apologetics. Hypokritos in greek is the word for actor. It is the same word as hypocrite as we use today.

Sad truths. How do we get around this problem? We don't. Cos you can never tell whether a woman is really telling the truth or lying.

Not saying that all women are like that. I know of several who can't lie to save their own lives. But well, we all aim to achieve the straightforward manner of guys like Davin, Daniel and Derek. Unlike the guys of today, these exemplary guys have this quality of truth. Sigh...maybe i should have been born a guy.

That's just how it is when you decide to open a public blog in cyberspace. You will come across people like these. Don't let that discourage you from blogging though. I mean, if you let people like that affect you, that means you are guilty la. I think if you want to put anything up online, then you have to be prepared for plagiarism or copying la. We cannot be all that upset, after all copying is the best compliment that can be paid

Anyway, Bootcamp 2005 is coming up pretty soon. There's a lot of work but nowadays everything is done up online so i still find the time to blog, chat whatever online. Its a bad thing, i seem to be addictd to the computer...everytime i get home first thing i do is hop on to the com. Blekk.

Movie Mania

After i had my star struck moments, i thought of buying the vcds to watch how Gol & Gincu actually came out, whether it's good or not. So i went on to One U, visited Video EZY. The first thing that caught my eye was Sepet, so i took that and then i found GnG so i bought both...


This was quite a good movie. Very sentimental. Really pulled my heartstrings. And it's out again in the cinemas, so i really recommend that you go and watch this.



This is an okay movie. Usual underdogs always win theme, very similar to Legally Blonde except that instead of tackling law school, Putri tackles futsal. Okay movie, good if you want to have good upbeat feelings... Brings in some controversial happenings, like incest... Overall quite good by Malaysian standards la...

Today is the day of all days!

I am sooooo totally overwhelmed by the cuteness of it all! R.AGE finally came to our mini minor teeny college today and together with them they brought...............

Sleep sleep

I seem to have a major problem with sleep. No no problem with sleeping itself, falling asleep is the easiest thing to do. The problem is too deep a sleep til i can't wake up from it. At first i thought its just me but I found others with this same problem, they seem to attribute it to sleep apnea and narcolepsy. i don't know much about these two disorders, tried reading up on them but couldn't really concentrate.

I managed to get that sleep apnea can cause *MEMORY PROBLEMS* (which BouncingNinjaTurtle certainly knows that i have), high blood pressure, and bla bla bla..so far only one that is applicable to me. Narcolepsy however has symptoms like Temporary paralysis on falling asleep or awakening (i don't know whether i have this), Hallucinations - vivid images or sounds - on falling asleep or awakening (i have very vivid dreams? Maybe these are hallucinations?), Moments (but sometimes extended periods) of trance-like behaviour in which routine activities are continued on "auto-pilot" (not sure about this), and Interruption of night-time sleep by frequent waking periods, marked by quickening of the heart rate, over-alertness, hot flushes, agitation, and an intense craving for sweets (i know i sometimes hunger for food in the middle of the night)

Oiks!

Watched three mediocre movies in a week...actually one was downright childish and the other two abit lacking la.
Watched this one first, it was okay la... all the hot body shots were worth it. If you absolutely have to watch a movie, then this one is quite okay la. Not too thriller, not too scary, not too romantic... just enough for the lazy minds...This one was next. this is the downright childish one! DON'T WATCH THIS ON ALL ACCOUNTS! even if ur desperate for a dark place to snuggle, exchange saliva *insert gross activity u do with opposite sex in cinema* DON'T. I won't say that "Gila gila Pengantin" is much better but please! Don't waste your money on this movie.This last one was terrible. Bad graphics, looks really fake. Lacks creativity especially with the prehistoric creatures. Waste of my RM10.

Sharm's Dinner

This is the second picture of the cool colour study. This one isn't as good as the previous one though. 

A study of cool colours with a real live model. Either this one or my warm colour study painting will be going into the exhibition at the lobby in college. I'm so proud, and i really thank God for giving me a potential for art.

DramaQueenDrea's Birthday

Today, actually yesterday, was DramaQueenDrea's birthday! Yay...hooray for quarter life crisis. This Swen, planned a surprise party for her at taman aman of all places. And so at 6pm i was near the area with my measly pack of nuggets at Swens house, and its raining cats and dogs, as it usually is when we organise things like these. So i ran into her house for shelter and hung around until 7.30pm. She came up with this whole complex drama-meeting qian and andrea for dinner, then her car breaks down and ask andrea to pick her up, surprise-hoorah-happy birthday-hug hug- you get my drift?

So everything goes fine until everyone suddenly turns up late la. Not only that, andrea was already on the way to taman aman. Everyone was there and went to try to park in a more secluded area when DramaQueenDrea's car drove by. At that point i thought that everything went bust oredi la, but surprisingly DramaQueenDrea was freaking blur today and she didnt notice anyone's car but mine. so i just told her that i just arrived cos Swen called me for help too. ahaha...as she walked with Swen, QianLittle and i, she passed the pondok where the guys were hiding and BouncingNinjaTurtle jumped out with the torchlight under his chin and scared the living daylights out of her. She screamed so loud the surrounding houses and the row behind must have heard her. HAhahaha. Anyway, after that, it was good, the ambience was good, foodgood too.

I think i need to get out of the house and start going on casual dates again. Not that there are no lack of guys since...you know...but then, i have higher standards now and some of the guys are too scared to approach me even. I was reminded that Martin once said that my boyfriend must be very smart. Haha. Well, my appearance in this regard certainly helps me rid myself of cowardly guys anyway. If they don't have the guts, they don't deserve me. Can't stand losers like those.

I believe God helps those who help themselves. So if i don't help myself, nobody else is gonna do the job for me...

Blekk!!! Ok, here's the deal, readers*please note i'm only referring to those who actually have some form of friendship with me* intro la to some cute guys... Hhahaahaha...i'm only joking. I might be desperate but i'm not that desperate. So until i find some worthy guy, i will *blekk* enjoy this alone time, besides, i get to shop without botheration! and i tell you, i have been shopping ALOT!

Well, re: the whole b/u incident, its over and i think i need to remind myself of the post i set up a few weeks back about laying down the law of conversations between us. So, just friends is great minus the stupid-serious-makemecry-angrifying-lecturing-words of unwanted wisdom. Good oso la, i have no obligation or inclination to accept or decline any of his LOGICAL advice. Blekk.

And so, there's an update on my sad pathetic love life of the past two months. Ergh. Why aren't there more NICE, reasonably good looking*or at least to me la* guys? Not to mention intelligent la...Sigh

Lately...

Let me see::...

1st October
-mad rush to purchase all my materials for the mood box process today. Although in the end i still couldn't find the pink glitter, dang. So i started cutting everything of relevance into shape and organised them all neatly into a box, although the neat status changed very soon after.
-grandpa & grandma moved into the apartment on the other wing of my apartment block. After they were settled in, we went for dinner together. It's so rare that we do, so no matter what short family time we can get, it's highly cherished. My grandparents are not getting any younger...
-finally visited Cat's Whiskers! Yay! Bought two tops and a beautiful hair clip. It's so color coordinated. So i got a brown top, that looks abit retro, with a lace up bust and big poofy sleeves. It's cool, looks like what robin hood's daughter would wear HAHA. The other one i got is pink and purple, indian kinda tunic. Anyway, enough about that.

2nd October
-mad rush to find the glitter and now the styrofoam cutter! The stupid thing decided to break on me when i really wanted to finish up the cutting last night. Swen came around with me, first to ss24, then old klang road, then section14. Sheesh, serious petrol devouring.
-followed swen back home. Helped design a new image for bootcamp. looks preeetyy cool
-Impressions practice, learnt a new dance. Crazy fast and crazy lot of moves. I'll be surprised if i can remember the moves well by saturday, cos thats the presentation oredi!!!
-bootcamp meeting, blekk. Usual la...
-giler tried to finish my work.......spill into the next day................

3rd October
-i skipped morning and the first afternoon class AGAIN! gonna die and fail, then die again!
-Passed up my stupid romantic mood box
-Did my presentation and went home and SLEPT!!!!!
